Monarch is seeking an agile and ambitious Commercial Strategist (all genders) to join our growing team.

Your mission

You serve the Commercial side of the company working for the Chief Executive Officer. You are part of the entire sales cycle and manage its core elements. This includes executing the sales strategy, creating budgetary offers, proposals, and calculations, with an eye for detail. You become an integral part of our sales effort, working closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and Head of Public Policy & Government Affairs. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and ambitious candidate looking for the next career step, to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving our growth in the global market.

  • You collaborate with the executive team to develop a strategy optimising sales in our mission pillars, and managing the data to understand progress made.
  • You are responsible for identifying, pricing, and structuring respective solutions for our clients.  Working with the Operations Team to respond to client challenges and requirements. You are comfortable creating bid documents and commercial offers.
  • You moderate weekly meetings through which Operations and Commercial Teams discuss tasks and set priorities. You help to set Monarch weekly priorities.
  • Together with the CEO, you are responsible to follow the BRANT - B(udget) R(esponsible) A(uthority) N(eeds) T(imeline) - opportunity identification criteria.
  • You pitch our solutions and offerings to prospective clients, crafting clear and detailed "Statements of Work" as you guide deals to completion and secure signed agreements.
  • You execute sales activities across all our mission pillars with both public and private sector clients.
  • You are equally comfortable with numbers and with people.

In addition, you support with the following tasks:

  • You are responsible to qualify leads by understanding the client needs.
  • Developing new sales leads and opportunities.
  • Establishment of contract frameworks, negotiations and closing of deals together with the CFO and his team.
  • Development of partnerships with relevant organisations and associations in coordination with our Head of Public Policy & Government Affairs.
  • Support our network of senior Business Partners to promote Monarch to clients.
  • Attending and supporting internal and external meetings.
  • Participating in national and international conferences, representing Monarch.

Your profile

  • You bring 3-5 years work experience in professional services and consulting. Preferable with a sales focus.
  • You are digitally skilled: we are looking for an Excel-Wizard and PowerPoint-Ninja.
  • You have an ability to work independently and willingness to take on responsibility.
  • You are skilled at handling presentations and proposals.
  • Your key value-drivers of your day-to-day work are confidentiality and trust
  • You are comfortable in leading detailed negotiations and client communication in German and English, any additional languages including “Beamtendeutsch” are a big plus.
  • You are a team player who is self-dependent and enjoys goal-oriented work.
  • Having experience working with defence and security technology companies in an international environment is a plus.
  • You are comfortable and even greet the opportunity to work in a remote environment with international colleagues.
  • You are willing and able to travel, including countries with currently issued travel warnings.
  • Ideally, you also have a security clearance, but alternatively you can get vetted in the first weeks of your work.
