
Mission Manager (all gender)
Monarch is seeking a Mission Manager (all gender) to join our growing team.
Monarch is a well-funded security and information service provider based in Berlin, run by seasoned founders, intelligence experts and industry leaders. As a “Mission Manager” you would be part of an Operations Department who run all of Monarch’s Missions. Our Missions are centred around our Clients and consist of the Programmes, Projects and Workstreams we deliver.
In this role, you would report to our “Mission Lead - Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)” and would be responsible (more detail below) for managing one or more of our CNI Missions to time, quality and cost expectations. This role requires an ability to deal with ambiguity, a problem-solving mindset, project delivery experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
We view Security and Information delivery holistically, and while Monarch has a prominent Cyber Security footprint, we deliver a wide range of outcomes (across Physical, Personnel, Organisational domains). Therefore, cyber security experience is desirable but not essential to the role. More importantly, we look for individuals who can apply themselves to an ambiguous and challenging problem space to build instrumental relationships and deliver excellent client outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Strengthening the client relationship during Mission delivery, managing stakeholders, risks, costs, time, and quality through to Mission completion and closedown activities.
- Supporting on Mission management activities, which may include the following: Risk registers, Operational Plans, Key Decisions, Cost Modelling, Invoicing and Record Management.
- Taking responsibility on tactical and strategic Mission communication internally and with the Client, including Report writing, quality assurance and the presentation of Monarch’s findings, recommendations, and next steps.
- Supporting on supplier contracting by accurately drafting contracts with our supply chain partners in support of the client contract.
- Engaging in the supplier relationship during mission delivery, managing stakeholders, risks, costs, time and quality through to Mission completion and closedown activities.
- Leading on the creation of case studies capturing the requirement, approach and outcome from our Missions for Marketing and Sales colleagues.
- Leading on the ownership of your performance and development journey as a Mission Manager to increase your capabilities and enhance the value you bring our Clients.
- IT Business Owner – Be the Monarch lead for specified IT tools, championing the tool, providing advice to others on the tool, and ensuring onboarding briefing is provided to new staff. Supporting the sales pipeline by elaborating the client requirement and leading on solution design with our Horizon Scanning team.
- Supporting the Commercial team with client contracting by accurately capturing Monarch’s services, outputs, and delivery costs.
- Supporting Sales to develop the sell-on proposition to ensure that Monarch continue to grow our Missions and enhance our value.
- Support Capability Development activities to improve the Monarch Operating Model (People, Processes, information and Technology usage).
Your Profile:
- You are good at getting things done
- You are an experienced planner, used to handling multiple complex tasks in parallel
- You have good Management Consultancy, Project and Programme management skills, and you are an excellent communicator
- You can demonstrate client management skills and understand how to build instrumental and trusted partner relationships
- You have an awareness of the commercial and contractual processes and understand the importance of legal and compliance topics in delivery
- You have excellent communication skills in English and German
- You have a background in security, intelligence and investigations in the private or government sector
